What It Is
HommeSpun beadwork is hand-applied, piece by piece — no shortcuts, no transfers. We bead directly onto your garment using custom patterns drawn from NYC subway maps, architectural line work, and original motifs. The result is a wearable object with genuine craft behind it. Every commission is one of one. Once it's done, it cannot be replicated.
Easy commissions start at $75 — think monograms, small motifs, or accent panels. Medium complexity ($150) covers larger pattern work, multi-color designs, and structured layouts. Complex commissions ($250+) are full-garment or architectural pieces requiring extended time and custom design work.
How It Works
Step 1 — Consult
Submit your garment details, reference images, and design direction via the inquiry form. We'll confirm scope, pricing tier, and timeline before anything begins.
Step 2 — Craft
Your garment ships to us (or drops off in NYC). Beadwork is applied entirely by hand over 1–2 weeks depending on complexity. You'll receive a mid-point update for larger commissions.
Step 3 — Handover
Your finished piece ships back with a digital Origin & Care Card documenting the design name, materials used, bead sourcing, and care instructions. The card is yours to keep — it's part of the object.
