A Talbots archive find, rebuilt for the streets that inspired it. This 100% boiled wool knit cardigan has been reworked into a statement jacket — structured, saturated, and unmistakably New York. The base is a dense, cardinal-red wool knit with a clean V-neck and polished gold-tone button placket — a nod to classic prep heritage that wears like a blazer. A black velvet collar trim grounds the piece, adding a subtle formality that plays beautifully against the knit's texture.

The centerpiece: a custom hand-beaded Big Apple motif on the chest — intricate, jewel-toned beadwork that maps the city's iconography in gold, green, and amber. One-of-a-kind. Irreplaceable. A quiet love letter to the city, stitched one bead at a time.

Styling Notes: Layer over a crisp white Oxford and striped tie for an uptown editorial look, or wear open over a heavyweight cotton tee for something more downtown. Pairs naturally with relaxed tailoring — cream trousers, wide-leg wool pants, or vintage denim.

Provenance & Era

Base garment: Vintage Talbots, Made in Hong Kong, circa 1980s–1990s. Reworked in NYC: Hand-beaded detailing custom designed and executed in-house by Hommefound. Condition: Reworked Vintage (9/10). Excellent structural condition with dense wool body, intact contrast piping, original gold hardware, and newly constructed bespoke beadwork.

Shipping & Handling

Garment folded carefully in tissue paper and shipped in a protective sleeve to ensure the hand-beaded artwork arrives flat and secure.
