The Brass Candlestick & Tray

A matched pair of brass candlesticks in the Queen Anne form — knopped and turned stem, wide bobeche collar, and the distinctive notched square stepped base that places this form in English brass production of the mid-18th to early 19th century. The proportions are right. The patina is right. These read as the genuine article.

Presented on an oval brass butler’s tray with two loop side handles and a raised engraved rim — a separate piece from the same world, the same table, the same house. Dark twisted taper candles are still in the holders.
