Vintage Segmented Wood Turned Vase — SEC. 06
In Your Space
A sculptural object rooted in the craft tradition of wood turning — this vintage segmented vase is hand-turned from alternating cuts of warm amber, honey, and deep burgundy-toned hardwoods, laminated and turned to reveal a striking geometric grain pattern across its surface.
The form is classically proportioned: a wide, flared mouth tapers down to a cinched waist before flaring again into a stepped, pedestal base — a silhouette reminiscent of antique apothecary vessels and ecclesiastical candlesticks. A high-gloss lacquer finish brings out the full depth of the wood grain, catching light and shadow with every angle.
One of a kind. A functional object with the presence of sculpture — equally at home holding dried botanicals, a single stem, or standing alone on a shelf or mantle.
